10 Things Brides Forget on Their Wedding Day

You've spent months (maybe years!) planning every little detail. The good news? You don't have to remember everything.

After photographing weddings, we've seen it all. Here are a few things that are easy to forget but make a big difference.

1. Eat Something

Seriously.

It's so easy to get caught up in the excitement that breakfast turns into coffee... and suddenly it's 4:00 PM. Eat a good meal and keep a few snacks nearby. Your future self will thank you.

2. Stay Hydrated

This one goes hand in hand with eating. Weddings are emotional, busy, and sometimes really hot. Keep a water bottle close throughout the day.

3. Your Marriage License

It sounds obvious, but you'd be surprised! Make sure someone knows exactly where it is before the ceremony.

4. A Pair of Comfortable Shoes

Your heels may be gorgeous, but your feet will appreciate a backup pair once the dancing starts.

5. Touch-Up Essentials

A small bag with lipstick, powder, tissues, perfume, and a few bobby pins can save the day.

6. A Moment Alone

One of our favorite things to suggest is taking five minutes, just the two of you.

No guests.

No phones.

No cameras in your face.

Just a quiet moment to soak in the fact that you're married.

Those few minutes usually become one of the best memories of the day.

7. Your Vendor Team Is There to Help

You don't have to solve every little problem.

If something goes wrong, let us know. Chances are, we've seen it before, and we'll help however we can. We promise, you're not in this alone.

8. Charge Your Phone... Then Put It Away

You'll want a few photos throughout the day, but don't spend your wedding behind a screen.

Be present.

Hug your people.

Dance.

Laugh.

We'll capture everything else.

9. The Little Details Matter

Before everyone arrives, gather your invitation suite, rings, perfume, shoes, jewelry, vow books, and any sentimental items you'd like photographed. Having everything together saves time and helps us capture those beautiful detail shots without interrupting your morning.

10. Don't Chase Perfection

Something probably won't go exactly as planned.

Maybe it's the weather.

Maybe someone runs late.

Maybe your flower girl decides today is not the day.

Guess what?

Those little imperfections often become the stories you laugh about for years.

Your wedding isn't about having a perfect timeline or perfectly placed decorations.

It's about marrying your best friend.

Everything else is just part of the story.

🤍

One last thing...

When you look back on your wedding day, we don't want your first thought to be, "I hope everything looked perfect."

We want it to be, "That was the best day ever."

If you can say that, then you've done it right.
